How to Make Cabbage Stew
Cut the onion into cubes and sauté in a skillet with butter until the onion is visibly transparent.
Pass the washed and peeled carrots through a coarse grater and add to the onion. Stir and continue cooking for another 3 minutes over low heat.
Cut the white cabbage into small squares, add to the rest of the vegetables and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring all the time.
Divide the potatoes into medium cubes and add to the skillet. Stir.
Add tomato paste, minced garlic, bay leaf, hot spices and salt. Combine all ingredients and cover the pan
Cook in simmering mode - 40-45 minutes, stir several times in the process.
When ready, remove vegetable stew with cabbage from the stove and preferably, before consumption, slightly brew in the pan itself.
