Pour in a little more than a glass of water, in the ratio of 200 grams of soaked rice, about 300 ml. water. Place on the stove, bring to a boil and continue cooking over moderate heat until the rice has absorbed water - 10-12 minutes.

Add 300 ml to a saucepan with boiled rice. boiled warm milk, add salt and cook, stirring constantly over low heat - 10-15 minutes. Note that if the milk is cold, it may curdle.

The readiness of milk porridge is determined by the appearance and taste, someone likes liquid and boiled, and someone wants a thick and dense, all this is regulated by the time and amount of liquid. When ready, add a pinch of sugar to the dish, stir and add a piece of butter, which can also be added when serving.

Stir the dish again thoroughly, remove from the stove and let it infuse for a couple of minutes.

Children's rice porridge goes well with fresh berries and pieces of fruit, with condensed milk and jam.

Sweet kindergarten-style rice porridge

If you want to cook the same rice porridge that you remember from childhood, then we recommend cooking according to the following recipe, which describes the features of cooking milk porridge with rice.

    Ingredient List:

  • 200 g rice,
  • 200 g water,
  • 200 g warm milk,
  • 2 art. tablespoons of granulated sugar and a pinch of salt.

Pour the pre-washed rice to the top with water and leave for about one hour.

After the rice has swollen and noticeably increased in volume, drain the water with a colander.

Transfer the swollen, semi-cooked cereal to a thick-bottomed saucepan or a thick-walled saucepan.

Pour in the warmed milk, salt and add sugar, stir and cook with the lid closed over low heat - 15 minutes.

While stirring, check the consistency of the porridge, if necessary, add milk.

When the dish is ready, season with a small slice of melted butter and pour into plates.

  • 5 multi-glasses fresh milk,

How to cook porridge in a multicooker

Pour milk into the multicooker bowl, add 50 grams of butter and thoroughly washed rice.

Season with salt and sugar or natural honey. Set in the menu "Milk porridge" for 35 minutes and press start.
