Sweet Buns with Sugar and Orange Zest from Yeast Dough - Recipe Step by Step
Prepare all the necessary products in advance for making delicious homemade buns that are included in the baking recipe.
Make a dough with yeast, sugar and flour. If using instant dry yeast, simply dilute in warm water or milk.
Sift the flour, stir in salt, divide the butter into small pieces, beat in one egg, pour in some milk, add orange juice and start stirring the flour with milk.
Gradually, pouring the rest of the milk in portions, knead to a moderately firm dough. After wrapping the dough, soak in a warm place - 1 hour.
After the dough rises, exchange it again and roll it into one large flat layer, 4-5 cm thick.
Mix the orange zest with granulated sugar and lay on top of the rolled dough in an even layer.
Roll the layer into a long roll and divide into even parts, no more than 2 cm wide.
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and place the buns on top of the paper. Let it brew for 20 minutes while the oven is heating.
Move the baking sheet to a preheated oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees and bake yeast buns with sugar and orange zest for 20 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
When baking buns, like many other baked goods, it is not recommended to open the oven, especially in the first half of the process. It should be borne in mind that a household oven heats up quickly and cools down just as quickly, therefore, in the process of baking buns with sugar from yeast dough, you should constantly monitor and maintain the appropriate temperature.
