It would be much easier to just chop everything, put it together and fry or bake in the oven. But it would be a common and unremarkable meal. And why not cook something special out of everything you already have, for example potato pie with mushrooms and cheese in bacon - after all, this is an original idea for a delicious family dinner when people close to your heart gather around the table.
An exquisite dish should not only be tasty, but also look original and beautiful. A big plus will be if it is still simple, the recipe for potato pie is not complicated, and the components are available, as in our case.
How to make a potato roll cake wrapped in bacon
Pre-boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, remove the skin and place in a deep bowl.
Grind the root vegetable in a convenient way without adding any liquid, until puree.
Add finely grated hard cheese, one large egg, salt and black pepper. Part of hard cheese, leave 20-30 grams for after.
Use a fork to stir thoroughly and combine all the ingredients for the bacon pie filling.
Place parchment paper on your work surface and place the bacon slices in a rectangle on top of it.
Spread half of the mashed potatoes in an even layer on top of the slices of meat woven together.
On top of the potatoes, place melted sausage cheese, hardly cut into thin pieces.
The next layer, on the processed cheese, put the pre-stewed mushrooms in oil.
And with the last layer, cover all the ingredients with the remaining potato filling and smooth.
Raising the paper on both ends at the same time, shape the bacon pie so that the meat wraps around the filling.
As a result, the stuffed meatloaf should look like the one shown in the photo. Finally, sprinkle some grated cheese on the open side of the pie.
Wrap the bacon, potato and mushroom roll in parchment paper and twist the edges tightly.
Bake potato bacon pie in oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

Making a bacon cake shell
Lay out several pieces of bacon in one even row, before that, be sure to spread special baking paper underneath.
Then, starting at any one perpendicular edge, on top of the bottom one, place one strip of bacon and, after one, temporarily throw the bottom ones over the top bacon.
Next, close to the first perpendicular row, add the pieces of meat again and return the temporarily thrown pieces back.
Do the same until a rectangle is formed. The result should be a wicker shell of bacon bits that will hold the pie filling.
