Components of a meal for 4 persons:
- 2 chicken breasts or sirloin;
- two glasses of white round rice;
- two garlic cloves;
- 1 pc. sweet peppers of red and green;
- 1 medium onion;
- 2 roots of fresh carrots;
- 2 fresh tomatoes (medium size);
- half a tablespoon each of dry rosemary and dry thyme;
- olive oil (on your own);
- salt and pepper (according to your desire and taste).
How to cook rice with vegetables and chicken
Pour a small amount of oil into a frying pan and heat over low heat. After the oil starts to boil a little, toss in finely chopped garlic cloves and fry for a couple of minutes until a perceptible aroma appears.
Cut onions, carrots and red peppers into small cubes of the same size and transfer to a pan with garlic. Fry on low mode for 5-6 minutes.
Dice the green peppers and add to the rest of the vegetables. Simmer the vegetable mixture for about 5 minutes.
While the vegetables are fried, you can start preparing the rice side dish. Pour 1, 5 - 2 liters of water into a separate bowl and bring to a boil, add a little salt and well-washed rice into it.
