Cookies "Ushki" with sugar - a step by step recipe

This time we will cook incredibly delicious puff pastry cookies. Sweet sugar "Ears" - their taste is familiar to many from childhood. They were especially popular in post-Soviet times and were prepared everywhere. And nowadays they can often be found on store shelves or cooked at home according to our recipe.

Alternatively, you can combine cinnamon and vanilla with sugar, although it is classically prepared without them. There are tons of ways to make sweet desserts, but we will look at the most common and simple.

Roll out the puff pastry, if necessary, to a thickness of about 2-3 mm.

Sprinkle with granulated sugar, pressing it lightly into the dough to prevent spilling.

Visually divide the rolled layer in half, fold the edges a third from the center and sprinkle with sugars again.

Repeat the process from the opposite edge and do it all down to the center. You should have three layers on each side.

And the last, folded part, transfer to another, wrap with parchment or plastic wrap and put in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

Cut the chilled puff pastry for sweet pastries into pieces no more than one centimeter wide.

Carefully transfer the product to a baking sheet with baking paper underneath and place in the oven.

Bake the sugar ears in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180-200 degrees.
