Delicious compote from apples and chokeberry. Apple compote itself deserves a place of honor in your pantry, but paired with an unusual chokeberry berry, it acquires an even more pronounced aroma and taste.
Cooking time 30 minutes
Apples (firm, ripe and not wormy) 2 kg
Rowan black-fruited 200 g
Sugar to taste
Collect apples, wash and dry.
Collect the berries, wash and dry.
Lay apples without tails and berries on branches in clean jars.
Pour boiling water to the top.
Cover with lids and leave for 20 minutes.
Drain the water into a saucepan and add sugar, at the rate of 400 g of sugar per liter. Boil the syrup well.
Pour syrup into jars.
Tighten the lids and put in a blanket overnight.
Apple and chokeberry compote is ready. Compote can be stored both at home and in the cellar.
