Cherry and apple compote

Delicious and healthy compote that can be easily prepared in winter and spring. Great for fasting days.

Cooking time 1 hour

Ingredients

Water 2 l

Iced cherries 100 g

Dried apples 50 g

Sugar (to taste) 2-3 tbsp. l.

Preparation

Rinse dried apples.

Place in a saucepan and cover with water.

Cook for 40 minutes over medium heat, covered.

Add frozen cherries.

Add sugar and cook for another 5-7 minutes over low heat.

Strain and pour into a jug.

Our cherry and apple compote is ready. Can be served at the table.
