Solyanka for the winter from cabbage

Cabbage solyanka is an excellent appetizer for the winter, an independent dish. It can also be used as a filling for pies.

Cooking time 40 minutes


White cabbage 500 g

Carrots 2 pcs

Onion 2 pcs

Butter 50 ml

Vinegar 9% 3 tbsp. l.

Sugar (sand) 1 tsp

Salt to taste


Peel carrots and onions.

Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots. Fold into a saucepan and add vegetable oil.

Fry the onions and carrots for 2-3 minutes.

Cut the cabbage into slices, cut the stalk.

Chop the cabbage. Add cabbage to vegetables and stir.

Add salt to taste, sugar and one glass of water. Simmer with a lid for 15-20 minutes. Add vinegar at the end and stir.

Arrange in clean and sterile jars and roll up.

Put in a fur coat for a day. Cabbage solyanka is ready for the winter. Keep cold.
