Pickled tomatoes with apples

Pickled tomatoes with apples, a slightly unusual option for pickling tomatoes. An excellent appetizer for a winter table.

Cooking time 1 hour


Yellow tomatoes 1.5 kg

Bulgarian pepper 1-2 pieces

Sour apple 1 pc

Dill 1 bunch

Sugar 2 tbsp. l.

Salt 2 tbsp l.

Apple cider vinegar (6%) 5 tbsp. l.

Water 1 l

Allspice peas 5-7 pcs

Cloves 3-5 pcs

Bay leaves 2-4 pcs

Dill seed 1/2 tsp


Wash and sort the tomatoes well.

Put spices at the bottom of the jars.

Put the tomatoes, finely chopped dill and bell pepper slices in the first layer.

Layer the apple slices.

Repeat in layers up to the top.

Pour boiling water over and cover. Let stand for 20 minutes.

Drain water into a saucepan, add salt and sugar. When the marinade boils, add the vinegar. Stir and pour into jars.

Seal with lids and leave warm for 12 hours.
