Sweet fried sorrel pies are reminiscent of childhood. A real decoration of Russian cuisine.
Cooking time 40 minutes
Milk 3.2% fat. 1 stack.
Eggs 2 pcs
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Sorrel 1 bunch
Dry yeast 10 g
Vegetable oil for dough 1/2 cup
Flour 1 kg
Frying oil for frying
Salt to taste
Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup of warm milk. Add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar and 2 tbsp. tablespoons of flour. Let stand until swelling for 15-20 minutes.
Sift the flour into a separate large bowl. Add eggs, oil, salt and remaining milk. Knead the dough well.
Grease the surface of the dough with vegetable oil and leave for 2 hours. After 30-40 minutes, when the dough rises, lower it, repeat 2-3 times.
Chop sorrel and mix with sugar.
Knead the dough and cut into pieces, form flat cakes, wrap sorrel in them and pinch.
Fry in hot vegetable oil until tender.
Place on a plate and let cool. Serve to the table.
