Salted lard in brine

Salted lard in brine. A simple and quick recipe for making delicious salted lard in brine.

Cooking time 20 minutes


Lard 1 kg

Water 1 l

Salt 6 tbsp. l.

Bay leaf 4-5 pcs

Black peppercorns 10-15 pcs

Head of garlic 1 pc


Rinse and dry the bacon.

Cut the bacon into slices and place in a jar.

Prepare the spices, peel the garlic and cut into slices.

Add spices and garlic to the lard jar.

Boil water and add salt, boil the brine for 3-4 minutes and cool.

Pour lard in a jar with cold brine and leave under gauze for 3 days in a cool place.

Remove the prepared bacon from the brine and dry.

Salted lard in brine is ready. Store in sealed bags in the freezer.
