Lightly salted herring at home

Lightly salted herring at home, it's tasty, simple and quick. We present you the easiest, dry, way to cook lightly salted herring at home.

Herring (1, 2 kg) 3 pcs

Onion 2-3 pcs

Carrot 1 pc

Salt 1, 5 tbsp. l.

Sugar 1 tbsp. l.

Ground black pepper 1/4 tsp.


Defrost the herring and rinse.

Remove entrails and heads (leave milk and caviar).

Peel the onions and carrots, cut the onions into half rings, grate the carrots.

Cut the herring into pieces and place in a bowl.

Add vegetables.

In a small bowl, combine salt, sugar and ground pepper.

Add salt, sugar and pepper to the herring and mix well.

Put everything in a jar and close the lid, shake several times and put in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Put the finished fish in a herring with vegetables and pour over with vegetable oil.

Lightly salted herring at home is ready. Can be served at the table.
