Chicken pastroma with honey and mustard

Chicken pastroma with honey and mustard is an excellent substitute for chemically-packed store-bought meats.

Cooking time 2 hours 30 minutes


Chicken fillet 2-3 pcs

Honey 2 tbsp l.

White mustard grains 1 tbsp l.

Balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp. l.

Lettuce leaves (for decoration)

Banana (for serving) 1 piece



Mix honey with mustard seeds.

Add salt and balsamic vinegar. Mix the marinade well.

Rinse the chicken breasts well and pat dry with paper towels.

Put the fillets on a flat dish and coat well with the marinade on all sides. Pour the remaining marinade on top. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

Press the fillets tightly together and tie with a thread, culinary twine or simple strong thread. Leave for another 1 hour in the cold.

Put on a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 250 degrees C for 5-7 minutes. Reduce temperature to 180 degrees and cook for another 20 minutes. Take out and cool.

Cut the cold pastroma into slices and place on a platter with lettuce and banana slices.
