Stewed pork with sauerkraut

Pork stew with sauerkraut in German, a delicious dish for a family dinner.

Cooking time 50 minutes


Pork 400 g

Sauerkraut 200 g

Tomato paste 50 g

Onion 1 pc

Vegetable oil 2-3 tbsp. l.

1/4 teaspoon pepper mixture

Salt to taste


Peel the onion, cut the meat into small pieces.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the meat on all sides.

Add finely chopped onion and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Add pepper mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add sauerkraut.

Add tomato paste and 1/4 cup water. Simmer covered over low heat for 20-25 minutes. Salt to taste (depending on the cabbage).

Put the prepared meat on plates with cabbage and garnish with finely chopped green onions.

Stewed pork with sauerkraut is ready. Can be served at the table.
